Provisional Title of Research: Spectres of Past – The Politics of Remembering Brazilian Military Dictatorship.
Currently works on the political processes undergoing the construction of the official narrative over Operation Condor’s memory – The secret network created by south cone military regimes for cross intelligence, counter insurgence training and state terrorism against “subversive” individuals during the 70’s and 80’s – by Brazilian National Commission of Truth (CNV). The research analyzes the constitutive role of the “spectre of past” and of “future to-come” in the hierarchy of problems and present political action. Other research interests are on Poststructuralist International Studies, particularly concerning the influence of Derridian and Foucauldian thought on IR’s discipline; Epistemology of Social Sciences; and Inside/Outside Tensions of Modern Politics (Sovereignty, Global Ethics and Responsibility).
