MappingSecurity.net aims at establishing an innovative interdisciplinary web-based platform for researchers engaged in critical analysis of the design of protection, control and security technologies, their promotion, and the identification of the impacts of cutting-edge technologies on social cohesion, trust and political decision. MappingSecurity.net works as a collaborative platform that provides a virtual workspace for researchers to exchange and share information on the latest developments in security technologies.
Mapping security is funded by NESTA. It is institutionally located within the School of Social Sciences at the University of Manchester, with additional support from the Discipline Area of Politics at the University of Manchester and the research cluster Political Horizons. MappingSecurity.net welcomes comments, suggestions and contributions whether as blog posts, podcasts or book and article reviews.
